Meet Sarah

Sarah Knight PT, DPT is a wife and mother of 4, physical therapist, childbirth educator and doula. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 2006. She had 14+ years of experience in an outpatient clinic specializing in orthopedics, prenatal and postpartum care and pelvic health prior to starting her own practice in 2017.

She has treated everything from acute sports injuries to complicated pelvic floor dysfunctions, incontinence and pelvic pain as well as the general aches and pains associated with pregnancy. Sarah values the importance of using her orthopedic skills and knowledge and takes a holistic approach to treat her pelvic health patients. She has a special passion for working with pregnant people to properly prepare their bodies for childbirth as well as assisting postpartum people in returning to their previous, pre-pregnancy lifestyle and activities.

Sarah continued to pursue her education and training to support her clients and patients with a certification in Childbirth Education from the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) from 2014-2018 and became a DONA trained Doula in 2016. She founded Vita New Life Education in 2015 to allow her to treat and service the whole person throughout a modern pregnancy, childbirth and beyond.

Sarah married her high school sweet heart and together they have 4 beautiful children. In her free time she enjoys any and all time with her family and friends. She finds her escape when her feet hit the pavement for a jog and in a good book sitting by the lake at her family’s cabin in Northern Minnesota.
